The Research Team integrates data-driven tools for environmental modelling, optimization, and spatial planning. We create frameworks that integrate geospatial analysis, artificial intelligence, and modelling to support decision-making at high spatial resolution. In recent years, our work has focused on transport and e-mobility system modelling, local-scale energy transition planning in the electricity and heating sectors, and the management of forest resources. By connecting large-scale spatial datasets with predictive algorithms, our research focuses on contributing to better resource allocation, land-use management, and infrastructure planning, promoting more sustainable and resilient territories.
